Tanzania’s Zanzibar Island Tour
Tour Day 1: Arrival at Zanzibar Airport
Upon arrival, meet and greet with the company representative who will then transfer the traveler to the preferred Zanzibar hotel to check in and relax for the rest of the morning. After lunch, enjoy a Stone town tour taking you around the historical Zanzibar culture and the architectural important town of Zanzibar that embraces a century history. The Stone town tour will also take the visitor to former the town market, the former slave market site on which the Anglican church was built in 1871, a trip to Zanzibar Memorial Museum, the House of Wonder that was constructed in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), Palace Museum, old Arab Fort and the Old Indian dispensary (cultural centre) to Maruhubi Palace ruins via Livingstone House. Dinner and overnight at Stone Town Hotel / Tembo House Hotel / Asimini Palace Hotel / or hotel of your choice.
Tour Day 2: South Coast Dolphin Tour
This morning, wake up to have breakfast at leisure then leave the hotel and head out for the exciting dolphin watching tour. Enjoy a day trip to Kizimkazi, and if you like, swim with hundreds of bottle and spinner – nose dolphins that keep playing off the Kizimkazi beach. This sightseeing will offer you the opportunity to have special natural message by the Indian ocean. In the afternoon, your tour guide / driver will drive you for the adventurous Jozani forest tour to watch the Red Colobus Monkeys, and a trip through the mangrove forests. The traveler can also visit Zanzibar’s Zala Park to see how the local people learn creative ways to protect the natural living reptiles. After these tours, you will return to your Zanzibar hotel to have the evening at leisure as you wait for your dinner and overnight stay.
Tour Day 3: Zanzibar Spice Tour
After having breakfast, checkout of your Zanzibar hotel and go for the botanical and Spice Island tour on Zanzibar. While on this spice tour, the traveler will enjoy tasting and seeing the different varieties of tropical fruits, spices plantations and plots in the islands.
A good number of the spices plants are used as medicine, ornament, fruits, and flowers. More interesting flora will be sighted while on the spice tour. If time allows, the traveler can also visit Kidichi bath – built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (grand daughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia).
